Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks by 2
What a thorny conundrum we have here, ladies and gentlemen. On one hand, we have the Saitama Seibu Lions, who've been roaring like a lawnmower lately. Their track record looks like the end of a Nicholas Sparks novel - full of tears and disappointment. On the other hand, their feathered foes, the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks, have been soaring like it's happy hour at a sushi joint, especially in past match-ups against the Lions.
Let's look at the chalked up scores. The Hawks have had their fair amount of victories, outstripping the Lions like a racecar against a tricycle in some of their previous games. Their recent performance is sprightlier than an overcaffeinated kangaroo.
While the Lions haven't exactly been feasting, they did manage to swipe a couple of games from the Hawks but it’s hardly enough to crown them kings of the jungle. Recently, they've been playing like my grandma on a hoverboard – all over the place with a distinct lack of direction.
What’s more, the Hawks' regular season performance has been as reliable as your favorite microwave, with a better wins-losses ratio than the Lions. But who knows? This could be a case of "The Tortoise and the Hare" with the Lions playing possum for the big win.
But let's get real here, the Lions will need more than just a lucky paw to outwit their feathery counterparts, and that’s putting it mildly.
Albert’s Prediction: Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks by 2
