My Prediction
Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters by 2Alright, strap in and let's go through this. We've got a swinging party coming up in the form of Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles heading off to tussle with the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters.
Now, let's stroll back memory lane for a bit. Seems like the Fighters have had the Eagles' number for a while. The last five games being, more or less, a one-sided celebration, including a recent thrashing where Hokkaido painted the town red, 7-1. Now I'm not saying that history repeats itself, but, well, sometimes history repeats itself.
Shifting our lenses to the regular season now, the fighters fly high at 43-31, while our dear eagles seem to be doing a wobbly backstroke at 34-38. I don't need to spell it out, the Fighters are outpacing the Eagles, and history might not even be done repeating itself!
Let's have a quick glance, as well, at the recent play. The Golden Eagles are vacillating about as much as my afternoon coffee levels. More losses than wins leaving a bitter taste, wouldn't you say? Meanwhile, the Fighters seem to be simmering too, some losses but still coming strong.
So put your reading glasses back, I'm crystal ball gazing right now and I see a pretty clear trajectory here. So, in the immortal words of every moderately successful gambler, never bet against a streak.
