My Prediction
Yokohama DeNA BayStars by 1Talking about giving a head-scratching prediction is daunting, and being slightly obnoxious is my second nature, let's say, having the flavor of a well-done steak with a pinch of pepper. Now, to the matter at hand, the riveting matchup between the Chunichi Dragons and the Yokohama DeNA BayStars. The Dragons have been walking around with an air of confidence, a sly grin knowing they are the bookies' darlings. But don't set your heart on those numbers, sports, like life, mind you, is always full of surprises.
There's been a series of friendly exchanges between the Dragons and BayStars. Oh and by "friendly", I mean each trying to knock the cover off the ball. Their encounters have mostly turned out in the BayStars' favor, so there's a slight tilt there. BayStars have been performing better than Dragons throughout the season as well, like one sibling showing up the other at a family picnic.
As for the recent performances, well, let's just say tit for tat. Dragons have been chasing their tails a little lately, and not in a fun "my dog is entertaining the kids" kind of way. On the flip side, BayStars have had a mix bag of results, losing to some bloke named Erik Barnes, whoever he might be. No judgments, we've all been there.
So, after all my rambling and the oddly insightful breakup of this game, weighing in all the non-verbal and age-inappropriate cues, my prediction leans slightly towards the underdog. Won't that be a kick in the shin for all you numbers nerds out there? So without further ado ...
