Yokohama DeNA BayStars by 2Ah, the old ballpark rivalry: Chunichi Dragons vs Yokohama DeNA BayStars. Makes your heart pound like a misfiring engine, doesn't it? So let's get right to it.
In the left corner, with a discouraging regular season record sagging heavier than my Aunt Edna's polka-dot purse, are the Chunichi Dragons. They've had a few hiccups recently, with a tight loss against Yokohama DeNA BayStars and a reminiscent pattern against Hiroshima Carp. They managed to sneak a win against Hokkaido, which was probably nothing more than a delightful fluke.
Now, across the field gulping down Gatorade like it's going out of style, the Yokohama DeNA BayStars are flexing a comparatively better win-loss record. Though it seems they've been playing patty-cake with Erik Barnes recently, they've been tough against the Dragons, and that's where our eyes are hovering today.
In head-to-head match ups, the BayStars have been running rings around the Dragons, making it look as easy as eating potato chips on my sofa. The Dragons did get a goody bag once, but otherwise, it was a BayStars fiesta.
Applying the wisdom of my years and as much common sense as I've got left, people, bet your bottom dollar on Yokohama DeNA BayStars to come out swinging with a win by 2 runs, but hey, don't take my word for it.
