Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters by 2
Let's cut to the chase here. The Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters and the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks are going head to head. Yippee. The Fighters look a bit stronger - their record's got a couple of extra wins up its sleeve, and we've all heard the saying - "winning isn't everything, it's the only thing." Or something like that.
That being said, the Hawks have been soaring when up against the Fighters, besting them in 4 out of their last 5 matchups. Maybe they've got Fighters' kryptonite. We just don't know. What we do know, however, is that the Hawks have gone 2-3 in their last 5 games, losing pretty spectacularly to the Chiba Lotte Marines on June 28, 2025. I've seen paintings dry faster than their batting that day.
Flip the coin and you've got the Fighters with a 3-2 record in their tipping point games, showing some nice bounce back, even if they took a few jabs from the Hawks recently. They say revenge is a dish best served cold, but let's see if the Fighters have any hot dinner left for the Hawks.
All this culminates into... Well, it's as clear as mud really. But then again, I'm not paid to dispense wisdom on life's mysteries, I'm paid to hazard a guess on which team of grown men with sticks will win a game. So here it goes...
