Well, we've got quite the matchup brewing, no pun intended...Well, maybe a small one.
While the Reds are hosting this little shindig at Great American Ball Park, a paradise for batters evident by the the park's history, the Milwaukee Brewers are not to be underestimated, touting a respectable record for the regular season of 33-29. The Reds better step up their game if they aim to improve their status quo of 30-32.
Starting from the mound, we've got DL Hall for the Brewers who seems to have picked up his game this season with a 1.76 ERA, compared to his performance last season, which let's just say wasn't the greatest. Abbott for the Reds ain't no slouch either sporting a 1.72 ERA this season. It's a proper clash of the titans today folks...Titanic if they start throwing like last year that is.
For the Brewers, keep an eye on Sal Frelick. He seems to have his head in the game with a 0.290 batting average and Christian Yelich, well let's just say the man likes sending balls over the home run fence.
Looking over at the Reds, TJ Friedl and Elly De La Cruz are shining stars with a .352 and .241 batting average respectively. Now if only the rest of their teammates could get on board.
The past matchups between these two teams show a bit of a zig-zag pattern, bobbing back and forth like a fever dance. However, above all, recent results show Brewers performed impeccably in their last matches, most notably against Philadelphia. The Reds though, they've had a bit of a tough luck, losing to Chicago.
Ultimately, considering all which has been duly noted, you're not here for a history lesson, here's the bit you've waited for:
