Baltimore Orioles by 2Talk about a thrilling clash - we have Cleveland Guardians visiting the Baltimore Orioles at the hitter favorite, Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
Starting on the hill for Cleveland, we've got Logan Allen whose numbers have shown some improvement this season down to a 3.87 ERA from an eyebrow-raising 5.962 last year. Baltimore's hurler will be Charlie Morton. Without mincing words, let's say Morton has had an 'interesting' start to the season, posting an 8.93 ERA. All I'm saying is, the man could serve up a few souvenirs in the stands.
For the Guardians, keep your eyes glued on Steven Kwan and Gabriel Arias. Kwan's commanding a .322 average which is commendable, although pity he isn't knocking more over the green monster. Arias is packing a punch with 3 home runs but just 7 RBIs - everyone loves a solo homer, right?
On Baltimore's roster, we've got Ramon Urias enjoying a hot batting average at .343 while providing a modest RBI. Most notably though, Cedric Mullins might actually be collecting Ribbies in his sleep, currently toting around 16 RBIs like it's just another day at the yard.
Looking at their past dirt kicking sessions, Baltimore has taken 3 out of 5 from Cleveland. However, the Guardians lead the Orioles in season wins as of now, 8 to 6, which isn't exactly earth-shattering.
Most recently, the Guardians are coming off a 2-2 split series with Kansas City. Baltimore ended their last home stand losing a squeaker to Toronto and are praying for a bit of home cooking.
Taking it all into account, it's like playing pin the tail on the donkey...blindfolded. Nonetheless, in this comedic opera of baseball...
