My Prediction
Los Angeles Dodgers by 3Let's talk the Colorado Rockies visiting the Los Angeles Dodgers at the renowned Dodger Stadium, which, between you and me, just slightly leans in favor of the batters.
Cracking straight into it, the Rockies are sending German Marquez onto the mound. Marquez has got a season ERA of 4.74 – not what dreams are made of, but let's call it substantial, eh. Kid's making his 4th trip to the mound and he's currently holding a K/9 stat of 5.9. And for the Dodgers, we got Bobby Miller, straight out of the whether-you-believe-it-or-not department with a perfect 0.00 ERA this season, though it should be mentioned that the man hasn't actually made an appearance yet. Basing on his last season stats though, we're probably in for some interesting surprises.
LA's got Will Smith bashing a 0.367 average with 12 RBIs and 2 home runs, Freddie Freeman hitting a 0.296 average, and Tommy Edman running a 0.274 average with 14 RBIs, 6 home runs. All of them making the Rockies’ hitters, who are led by Kyle Farmer at 0.333 and Nick Martini at 0.306, drop to their knees in the stats comparison.
Head-to-head encounters, oh boy, definitely not in favor of Colorado. I mean, recent past matchups leaning heavily towards them Dodgers. Regular season records echo the same sentiment too: 12-6 for the Dodgers, and a dismal 3-13 for the Rockies. Recent performance has been somewhat unkind to Colorado as well, especially as they tour LA this time.
As we said at the beginning, the Dodgers are favored here, but that doesn't mean this game won't have its own surprises. Hold onto your seats, folks. For now, my crystal ball's showing a tilt in favor of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
