Let's start with the New York Mets. They're hosting the game at Citi Field, where, let's just say, batters might complain about the expansive foul territory, but I guess eagles wouldn't complain about the wide-open skies, would they?
Known for his K/9 rate, Griffin Canning will be stepping onto the mound. His performance, combined with the bats of Pete Alonso and Luis Torrens, who are all but a guarantee to send the ball into orbit every time they have a bat in their hand, might just prove to be too hot to handle for the Cardinals.
But hey, it's not all one-sided. St. Louis Cardinals aren't exactly underdogs here. With Andre Pallante and his impressive stats this season, he's as dependable as an old shoe. Not to forget, the Cardinals have a couple of high-flying bats in their lineup. Guys like Lars Nootbaar and Brendan Donovan have been giving the other teams quite a headache.
Looking at their recent performance, while the Cardinals have been floating around the .500 mark in their last couple of games, the Mets have been trading blows with some tough opponents and maintaining their winning momentum.
