My Prediction
Andreeva in straight sets.As we dive into this upcoming match of the BNP Paribas Open, we have to take a good look at Clara Tauson and Mirra Andreeva. Now, if you've been paying attention, Andreeva has had something of a hot streak recently. She's been playing like a woman with a spring in her step, dusting off opponents left and right with ease, as if she was just practicing her serves on a Sunday afternoon.
Now, on the other side of the net, we have Tauson. She's not to be underestimated - had a few nice wins under her belt, even if they came with a bit more huffing and puffing than Andreeva's impressive romp through the competition.
The last time these two shared a court, let’s say Andreeva was singing 'another one bites the dust', because Tauson could not find her rhythm. And Andreeva being highly-favored according to *ahem* unnamed sources indicates she might still be holding the reins this time.
The tournament seeds also suggest Andreeva has been demonstrating a bit more finesse on the court. Now I'm not saying Tauson is going to roll over and bare her belly - she's a 22-seed for a reason, folks. Our young Clara knows her way around a tennis racket, but sometimes the rival just outshines you.
