This should be a tasty one, folks. Lace-up, it's South Florida Bulls at Rice Owls.
Chewing over their last faceoff, the Bulls ran over the Owls, bit of a mauling really, ended up at 42 to 29. Regular season records? A bit of a mixed bag, South Florida Bulls are holding steady at 4-4, while Rice Owls are limping along at 3-6.
Peep at the recent results, South Florida Bulls have been charging, particularly that uplifting trampling of the Tulsa Golden Hurricane, 63 - 30. The Bulls are certainly on a bit of a stampede. On the flip side, Rice Owls aren't exactly turning heads, losing recently to UAB Blazers, 40 - 14. Freshen up those feathers, chaps.
Let's talk quarterbacking. Bulls' Bryce Archie is having a whale of a time with a neat 134.3 passing efficiency, chucking for 5 touchdowns and a respectable 917 passing yards - watch out for that arm. Rice Owls are giving the reins to E J Warner and Drew Devillier, they're alright I suppose... or are they?
Top offensive players are shining bright for the Bulls. Keep your eyes on running backs Kelley Joiner and Nay'Quan Wright, hefty stats from the last month with a combined total of 672 yards and 10 touchdowns. For the Owls, it seems to be down to Dean Connors and Matt Sykes with a far from ruffling 365 total yards and 2 touchdowns together over the previous month.
Taking a look at the defensive prowess, Jhalyn Shuler, Tawfiq Byard and Mac Harris are creating quite the barrier for the South Florida Bulls. They got some numbers last month: tackles, sacks, forced fumbles -- them boys mean business. Rice Owls, well let's just say Daveon Hook, Ty Morris and Andrew Awe could certainly do better.
After considering all the stats, qualities, moon cycles, and the secret recipe for my grandma's apple pie, here's my prediction.
