UTSA Roadrunners by 3Alright, my dear listeners, we've got the Army Knights hosting the UTSA Roadrunners in this upcoming bout. Strap in, 'cause this might get bumpy.
Now, the Army seems to be all about defense this season with the Knights yet to bleed a defeat. What's the secret formula? Well, their defense, although led by Andon Thomas's 13 tackles and 0.5 sacks, has been equally less impressive than their opponents'. But the prized knights have figured out how to win games and that's what matters.
On the flip side, we've got UTSA Roadrunners whose season’s decidedly more hit than miss, displayed by their middling record. Owen McCown, their quarterback, has been dropping dimes left, right and center, averaging a 153.1 passing efficiency with eleven touchdowns so far.
Speaking of the Roadrunner offense, let's not ignore stalwarts like running back Robert Henry who's racked up 513 total yards with an average of 6.7 yards per rush. Wide receivers Chris Carpenter and Willie McCoy can't be discounted either when it comes to hauling in passes, clocking 258 and 201 total yards respectively over, wait for it...last month.
For the Army side, the offense has been, let's say, less than stellar. Bryson Daily, their quarterback, appears to have lost his GPS, finishing the last month with a mediocre passing efficiency of 62. Looking at Kanye Udoh seems to give me some hope, having amassed 258 total yards.
Now, the story of the match has to take past performances into account, and it's fair to say that Army Knights had the better of the Roadrunners when they last met. But call me wacky or just audacious, because I think the Roadrunners might've been pulling their punches and might fancy an upset here.
