Chanticleers Upset Panthers in a Resounding 48-27 Victory: Scoreboard Fireworks Galore!Ladies and gentlemen, let's dive right into the thrilling on field tussle between the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers and Georgia State Panthers. This clash served us a sensational double bacon-cheeseburger of a victory to the Chanticleers, upsetting the pre-match odds to roundly roost over the Panthers with a finishing score of 48-27.
The Chanticleers offense dominated the field, amassing a healthy 475 total yards compared to the Panther's 428. You'd think somebody greased that pigskin how quickly it switched hands, with the Panthers graciously donating 6 turnovers in total. Cat burglar of the day, Chanticleers' Matthew McDoom, picks off 2 interceptions, leaving Panthers' QB Christian Veilleux pondering his life choices.
Also, somebody give Senika McKie a gold star for most yards, most touchdowns and probably the most dap on the sidelines. Freddy Brock of the Panthers deserves an honorable mention with some healthy rushing yards and a couple of TDs, but alas, not enough to claw their way to glory.
The Panthers, favorites in this game, were left clawing at straws as the Chanticleers hit them where it hurts. Over on the scoreboard, after trailing 7-0 in Q1, the Panthers did have a quick lead in Q2, like a squirrel peeking out of a hidey hole. But the Chanticleers displayed no mercy, galvanized, and didn't look back.
Rounding out, remember the Chanticleers hoodwinked the Panthers back in 2023 and seems they have dusted off that playbook for another upset. Recent results for both teams suggested a Georgia State Panther win was on the cards, but the Chanticleers clearly didn't get that memo, flipping the bird to any pre-match predictions. Now, isn't that a caw for celebration!

Georgia State Panthers by 3Right, let's crack this nut. The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers are squaring off against the Georgia State Panthers. According to the spread data we have here--no, wait, I'm not saying anything about that. Anyway, let's dive in.
In terms of history, these two had faced off just last year with the Panthers snatching victory from the Chanticleers with a score of 30-17. But when it comes to regular-season records, the coastal birds are flying a bit higher with a 4-4, compared to the Panthers' somewhat pitiful 2-6. However, bear in mind that records, like rules, are made to be broken.
Looking at recent results, the solid Coastal Carolina Chanticleers hasn't been quite fantastic, losing to both, the Eagles and the Thundering Herd, and taking two big wins against the Mountaineers and the Ragin Cajuns. The Panthers, on the other hand, have had a rougher go of it, coming out on the losing end against the Red Wolves, Dukes, Huskies, and Mountaineers. They did manage to scrape together a win against the Bobcats, though I suppose that's about as exciting as finding a penny in the sofa cushions.

Coastal Carolina Chanticleers quarterback, Ethan Vasko, with a passing efficiency of 110.2, has managed to throw 3 TDs from 63 completions, although he's also tossed 3 interceptions, which should worry the Panthers as much as a cat worries a mouse. On the other side of the coin, the Panthers have two quarterbacks to bet on: Zach Gibson and Christian Veilleux, who have been doing some pretty nifty passing themselves with passing efficiencies of 133.0 and 139.1 respectively, and both managing to throw 4 TDs with only 2 interceptions.
In the offensive mix, keep an eye on Braydon Bennett and Jameson Tucker from the Chanticleers, with Bennett making some good ground with 449 total yards and Tucker zipping along with 216 total yards. For the Panthers, Freddie Brock really needs no introduction with 394 total yards.
Defensively, Clev Lubin from the Chanticleers has been holding up well, managing to bag 6 tackles and 4.5 sacks. Over on Panther territory, Josiah Robinson stands out with 36 tackles. Might be wise not to mess with him.
