Alabama's Marathon Victory, QB Jalen Milroe Runs Auburn Ragged in Iron Bowl BattleIn the rugged, Iron Bowl battle, Alabama's Crimson Tide rolled over Auburn's Tigers 28-14. Earning himself MVP status, quarterback Jalen Milroe tossed for 256 yards and rushed for 104 yards. Yet, his arm wasn't the star; it was his legs, finding the end zone three times and cementing 66% of Alabama's touchdowns. Not bad for a day's work, eh?
Auburn's fight was valiant, but in the end, it seemed they enjoyed turning the ball over more than racking up points, gifting Alabama two interceptions. Who doesn't like to share, right? Despite surpassing Alabama in passing yards (301 to 256), Auburn wasn't able to convert - totaling only 14 points compared to 'Bama's 28.
Turning to crimson-clad defenders, interceptions from Zabien Brown and Brayson Hubbard certainly helped offset Alabama's shocking four turnovers. Although, three lost fumbles, Alabama? That's just sloppy football.
This game also seemed to stretch out for eternity for Auburn, with Alabama holding onto the ball for a whopping 36:36 minutes. Funny, games typically are longer when losing.
Despite slight hiccups, the 'Tide' was able to cover the 11-point spread, and any lucky gamblers backing Alabama saw a tidy $1.24 return on their dollar. The pregame stats favored Alabama, and they delivered.
Comparing recent results, both teams were neck-to-neck, but this time, Auburn was washed away by a Crimson Tide that just wouldn't quit. Until next time folks.

Alabama Crimson Tide by 11Alright, gear up for a fierce battle folks, Auburn Tigers are heading off to face the Alabama Crimson Tide in a game fondly known as the "Iron Bowl". The tension's gonna be thicker than my Aunt Sally's famous gravy tomorrow, so let's dive right in.
The Tigers have had a tough season with a record of 3-6, showing more holes in their game than my socks. They did manage to put some points on the scoreboard recently against Texas A&M Aggies, Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks, Vanderbilt Commodores, and Kentucky Wildcats but it was a tragic fall against the Missouri Tigers. However, their QB Payton Thorne seems to have a pretty good throwing arm, with a passing efficiency of 161.5, 9 TDs, and 998 passing yards in the past month. Offensive powerhouses like Jarquez Hunter and KeAndre Lambert-Smith have also been flexing their muscles recently, and their defensive line led by Dorian Mausi and Jerrin Thompson shows some spark occasionally.
Now let's talk about Alabama, ranked #13, and with a decent regular season record of 6-2. Their recent loss against Oklahoma Sooners is as forgettable as my last haircut but they fried the Mercer Bears and LSU Tigers. The QB situation is a bit tricky, with Jalen Milroe not exactly setting the world on fire with his 124.7 passing efficiency and Ty Simpson resembling a backup quarterback more than a starter. Their offensive players, especially Jamarion Miller and Germie Bernard, have been churning out decent numbers but nothing to write home about. The defensive squad has Jihaad Campbell and Malachi Moore standing out, especially Campbell with a whopping 36 tackles.
Now comes the fun part. My gut, which rarely lets me down except after taco night, tells me that Alabama's got a bigger bite in this fight. Even if they're not keeping the statisticians busy, their overall performance, coupled with their superior ranking and regular season record, and a nicer payout possibility, gives them the upper hand in this face-off.
