BYU Defies Houston's Early Lead, Clinches Victory 30-18This just in, number 19 Brigham Young survives the Houston Cougar onslaught 30-18. The BYU offense amassing a handsome 356 yards of total offense outdoes Houston's 250 yards. The Houston side was generous with turnovers, handing out 3 freebies to the Brigham Young side, that includes 2 interceptions and one lost fumble. Talk about charity.
Houston's quarterback Zeon Chriss got busy throwing for 156 yards and running in 2 touchdowns. A tip of the hat to the lad. Brigham Young's quarterback, Jake Retzlaff wasn't just at the scenery, running in 2 touchdowns on 167 passing yards. The utility player performance we yearn for.
A story of two halves would be an understatement here, with Houston leading early on, only for Brigham Young to claw back and stomp their authority. Snatch and grab, if I may add.
Pre-game data had Brigham Young written all over it as favorites and, well, they didn't disappoint. Not an upset, but a fulfillment of prophecy perhaps.
Houston came in with some mixed bag results, flashes of brilliance but glaring uncertainties. Brigham Young on the other hand, sizzling like a hot pan on a summer's day, just about edging victories on the trot.

My Prediction
Brigham Young Cougars by 13Houston Cougars and BYU Cougars. A match to behold. Let's take a good look at these teams and what they're bringing to the table.
From Houston, we have Zeon Chriss taking up the quarterback mantle. Now, Chriss' past month has been, shall we say, less than stellar, with an efficiency of 112.7, managing 3 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. On the other side of the field, we have BYU's Jake Retzlaff, who’s been really turning it up with a 127.5 efficiency, 4 touchdowns, and just 3 interceptions.
In the offensive line up for Houston, we can't ignore the triple-threat of Re'Shaun Sanford, Stephon Johnson, and Joseph Manjack. They've all made significant contributions in the past month. However, when we turn our gaze to BYU, we see the likes of Chase Roberts, LJ Martin, and Hinckley Ropati, who have been churning out yards and touchdowns like a factory.
Defensively Houston has a decent line-up with Michael Batton, AJ Haulcy, and Keith Cooper, who've been tackling anything that moves. Over at BYU, we see some solid performances from the likes of Isaiah Glasker, Harrison Taggart, and Tyler Batty.
On paper, Houston’s record this season doesn't quite stand up to BYU's flawless resume, but if there’s anything we know about sports, it’s that it’s unpredictable. However, if you press me for a prediction based on all these delightful stats and recent performances, I would lean towards BYU. They've shown consistency and depth both offensively and defensively.
