Bowling Green Falcons by 22
Alright, buckle up, people, we're about to embark on a thrilling NCAA match-up between the annoyingly named Kent State Golden Flashes and the equally vexing Bowling Green Falcons.
Remember that last clash between these two? The Falcons seemed to find the Flashes rather non-threatening and swooped down for a 30 point win. That's on top of the Falcons' 2-4 regular season record as opposed to the Flashes, who are in desperate need of some golden luck with a grim record of 0-6 this season.
The recent results for both teams are no shirt-ripping spectacle either but the Falcons at least have had some sustenance with a win against Akron Zips. On the other hand, the Golden Flashes have been wiping the floor lately with their repeated losses.
In the quarterback realm, Kent State sports Tommy Ulatowski who's been putting up decent numbers over the last month, while Devin Kargman... well, let's say he's a lovely person. On the flip side, Bowling Green's got Connor Bazelak, who's been consistent even if not spectacular.
Let's check the offensive roster for both sides. The Flashes have Chrishon McCray and Luke Floriea shining, with respectable contributions from Ky Thomas and negligible support from Jordan Lowe and Conner Muldowney. However, the Falcons present a more balanced force with Harold Fannin leading the charge, Jaison Patterson and Terion Stewart hustling, and Malcolm Johnson Jr. and Jamal Johnson bringing up the rear.
Over to the defense that can't be offensive, the Golden Flashes... do exist and Rocco Nicholl and Matt Harmon seem to be the ones doing the most 'existing'. Bowling Green, however, has been more than just existing with guys like Brock Horne, Joseph Sipp, and Charles Rosser making significant contributions.
Now, ladies and gentlemen, after juggling all these stats in my obviously empty head, I'm going to take a wild leap of faith, also known as a blind guess, and predict that the Bowling Green Falcons will once again pluck the wings off the Golden Flashes.
