Well, isn't this going to be a nail-biter... something that will keep all of us on the edge just like a heated discussion about whether a hot dog is a sandwich or not. That's right folks, we're talking about the impending mashup - Houston Cougars, who have the recent confidence of bouncing back after their victory against the TCU Horned Frogs, against Kansas Jayhawks, who seem to be in a bit of a pickle with their recent loss.
Houston won't be entering the match unarmed. Their quarterbacks, Donovan Smith and Zeon Chriss, have been throwing balls with a bit of style, with Smith claiming 2 TDs. Sanford and Sneed on offense might as well be dancing on the field with their scores. It'll be interesting to watch them going up against Kansas' iron gate - players like JB Brown and JaCobee Bryant, who have been shining on defense.
Now we swing our gaze to Jayhawks. They have their trump card, quarterback Jalon Daniels. He seems to have a decent arm, with 5 TDs, but those 6 interceptions are a bit worrying, isn't it? Their offensive line led by Devin Neal and Daniel Hishaw is showing some promise. There's quite a bit of ground-and-pound in that line-up, and it will be fascinating to see them go toe-to-toe with Houston's defenders, especially rising stars like Michael Batton.
All this said, despite being the underdog on paper, I have a tickling feeling about the Cougars in this one. Is it my breakfast acting up or an actual premonition? Any sane man would go with the former, so let's go with the latter.
