Brigham Young Cougars by 10
Ladies and gentlemen, just pull up a chair and trust me on this one. The Oklahoma State Cowboys are square dancing right into the coliseum of the Brigham Young Cougars (#13) - These rankings aren't for show!
Last time these two tangoed, the Cowboys clinched a tight win but that was in Oklahoma. The Cougars, they've been growling this season, undefeated in six games. The Cowboys? They're batting an uninspiring .500, not exactly championship material if we're brutally honest.
On the Cowboys' side, quarterback Alan Bowman has been turning over the ball like a baker with hot gravy, muddying his impressive yardage with a whopping eight interceptions. Think that's bad? It's worse. He's got a backup in Garret Rangel who seems to have all the throwing power of a broken trebuchet.
Meanwhile, over at BYU, Jake Retzlaff has been flinging pigskins like a boss, nine TDs and a passing efficiency rating that prances around Bowman’s like a show pony.
The Cowboys' side does have some shining stars on offense. Stribling and Presley are doing their darn best to keep things afloat, piling up the yards and touchdowns. For the Cougars, players like Roberts and Lassiter have been breaking coverages and hearts, peppering the field with big plays.
On the defensive front, the Cowboys have Trey Rucker, stacking tackles as high as a mountain, and Daniels boosting that sack count. The Cougars aren't slackers either. Wakley, Robinson, and Taggart are a troika of defensive torment, wrecking plays and snatching interceptions.
But let's face it- the Cougars just seem to have that edge. Stronger offense, resilient defense, stellar QB performance, that home field advantage.. it all adds up! So, before you congratulate me on this revelation, hold on to your easy-chair armrests because here comes the prediction you've all been waiting for…
