Oklahoma City Thunder by 9
Taking a quick gander at the history between these two, the Thunder has been lightning in their past encounters with the Grizzlies. I mean, the last time Memphis managed to outscore Oklahoma was... well, never, at least in the recent past.
Addressing the elephant in the room - Shai Gilgeous-Alexander - I mean, those 32.9 points per game last month is doing things that make my knees quiver. And teammate Jalen Williams, you're no slouch either. Piling on over 22 points a game? Not too shabby.
But let's not ignore the Grizzlies. I tell ya, those boys aren't just hibernating out there. Desmond Bane and Ja Morant have been scorching the net, and Jaren Jackson Jr., well that lad knows how to put points on the board, and still finds time to pull down nearly 5 rebounds.
Now let's get to the nitty-gritty. Oklahoma has been running rampant with a 50-11 season record that makes Memphis' respectable 38-23 seem rather ho-hum. The Thunder also proudly perch on the pinnacle of the Western Conference, while Memphis, though not lagging too far behind, rests at number 4.
Analyzing recent performances, it seems like the Thunder has a slight upper hand, though the Grizzlies do certainly put up a fight. Tight games, nail biters really, for Memphis. Oklahoma seems to have mastered the art of grabbing wins by a more comfortable margin.
So, all this being said, ladies and gents, I'm gonna have to go with...
