Los Angeles Clippers by 6
Ah, the age-old rivalry: the Sacramento Kings versus the Los Angeles Clippers. Two teams, both based in California, but let's be honest, the similarities pretty much end there.
The Kings for their part seem to have some firepower. Look at players like DeMar DeRozan, their commander in chief with solid numbers, maintaining a good 23.6 points per game. And hey, Zach LaVine's not just there for the popcorn, folks. His 23.4 points per game last month aren't too shabby either.
But then we have the Clippers. Remember James Harden? Obviously, anyone who loves the game remembers him. He’s been lighting it up with 25.2 points per game last month. And we can't forget about Kawhi Leonard. He’s over here silently putting up 21.2 points per game. Silent but deadly, like a flatulent ninja.
If we look at past encounters between these two, the Clippers have had the upper hand in 4 out of the last 5 duels. In the regular season score arena, they're pretty much neck and neck with the Clippers slightly ahead with 34 wins versus the Kings' 33.
But let's cast aside the stats for a second and focus on the recent game performances. The Kings have been tearing it up on the court with 4 wins out of their last 5 games. The Clippers, on the other hand, look like they'd rather be somewhere else, with the glaring exception of their last two victories, one of them even against the Big Apple's pride the New York Knicks.
Looking at the current standings, both are battling for a better Playoff berth with the Clippers at 8th and the Kings at 9th in the Western Conference.
All that being said, you can never truly know what will happen in a game of basketball, but my money's on the guys with more muscle, this time around.
