The Portland Trailblazers, led by Anfernee Simons and Shaedon Sharpe, both of whom averaged over 19 points per game last month, are set to face the Oklahoma City Thunder. Deni Avdija and Jerami Grant are both doubtful for the Blazers which could hinder their performance.
On the other side of the court, we have the mighty Oklahoma City Thunder, who rely heavily on their top performers, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams, both of whom currently are on the injury list, which could throw a wrench in their plans. Chet Holmgren's rebounds will definitely be missed by Thunder today. Even Aaron Wiggins' scoring ability will be put on hold due to his absence.
Looking at their previous matches, the Thunder seem to have an advantage, winning four out of the last five times they've faced the Trailblazers. However, the injury-plagued Thunder's top scorers might create an issue this time around.
Let's not forget, the regular season records paint a clear picture of the disparity in this matchup. The Thunder, with 51 wins to their name, stand top of the Western Conference, while the Blazers, falls much behind at 12th with only 28 wins.
Recently, however, the Trail Blazers have had a tough time, losing four of their last five games. The Thunder, in contrast, look to be in excellent form, sweeping all of their last five games.
