Houston Rockets by 9Oh, this one's shaping up to be as interesting as a harmonica solo at a heavy metal concert. We have the New Orleans Pelicans squaring off against the Houston Rockets.
The Pelicans have seen more cheerful seasons, standing #14 in Western Conference with a stellar 17-46 record. A shining beacon of hope for them however has been Zion Williamson, clocking in at about 26.8 points per game in the last month, and Trey Murphy III coming in hot with 19.8 points per game last month. Sadly, the Pelicans have their fair share of players benched due to injuries, a list that would make a medical journal blush, making their obstacle course to victory a tad more intricate.
On the flip side, we have the Rockets, standing proud at #5 in the Western Conference, and boasting a regular season record of 38-25, which is approximately 22 wins more than your favorite commentator has friends. They're highlighted by Alperen Sengun, who's been dropping about 19.4 points per game within the past month, and Jalen Green, with a decent 20.8 points per game during the same duration. Despite a couple of missing names due to injuries, it's a fairly healthy lineup.
Looking back, the Rockets have had the Pelicans' number in recent head-to-head, leading to a trend that's about as hard to spot as a llama at a petting zoo. So even someone with a personal commitment to denial, like my ex, can see the writing on the wall - expect the Houston Rockets to add another pelt to their wall.
