Cleveland Cavaliers by 12
Look at this folks, oh wait... never mind, we've got the Miami Heat looking to bring some Florida sunshine to the chilly rustbelt as they take on the Cleveland Cavaliers. Now, sports fans, you know anything can happen on the court but let's take a little peek into the crystal ball here.
Miami has some strong players churning up the heat, like our friend Bam Adebayo who's been packing away points like leftover Thanksgiving turkey, with an average of 21.7 points this past month. Meanwhile, Tyler Herro's living up to his name, casting a heroic shadow with 23.3 points per game last month. But let's not ignore Andrew Wiggins who's been tipping things over like a cat on a counter, averaging 17.8 points per game.
Across the court, hanging out in Cleveland, Donovan Mitchell has been clearing the nets with an average of 22.8 points last month and Evan Mobley's been dunking more than a donut in coffee with an impressive 18.1 points. Let's not overlook Darius Garland though, he's been running across the court so fast I'm surprised there's not a Garland-shaped hole in the wall with his average 16.2 points per game.
Now, if we look at the past, the Cavaliers and the Heat had a fair bit of back and forth, but the Cavaliers came out on top in their last meeting. The Cavs have been winning like it's going out of style, coming in at 50-10 for the regular season, while the Heat haven't been able to shake the chill, with a more modest 29-31.
And if we take a step back and look at the standings, it's clear that the Cavaliers are perched right at the big boy's table at the #1 spot in the Eastern conference, while the Heat are starting to feel a mid-winter's chill, down at #7. Combined with the recent results, where the Cavaliers keep racking up the victories, it seems the odds might be favoring the boys from the Buckeye state.
So hold on to your hats, sports fans, because it's time for Albert’s Prediction: Cleveland Cavaliers by 12.
