Seattle Mariners by 2Take a look at this matchup, we’ve got the Seattle Mariners packing their bags to clash with the Athletics over at the not-too-cozy Oakland Coliseum. If we're talking the past, I'd say it's looking like a mixed bag - they've been trading punches like a B-list boxing movie.
Now, let’s meet our gladiators. Seattle's hurling the hard stuff will be Bryce Miller who's been pacing 9.5 K/9 this season. His adversary, the Athletics' own Luis Severino isn't a slouch either, holding a decent 3.33 ERA. But Miller’s WHIP lingers quite high, yet he’s still getting the nod.
On the batting front, the Mariners have their usual suspects. Leonardo Rivas and Jorge Polanco have been lighting it up lately with those sweet swings. Mix in Cal Raleigh, and you've got a trio that could scare the cleats off any pitcher. Despite a weaker batting average, Raleigh’s a monster with the long ball.

Keeping everything in balance, I’m leaning towards the mariners as the favorites, but it won't be a knockout punch, more of a jab and duck scenario. It will be close, but the Mariners edge it out.
