This upcoming tussle in the American Family Field is between our beloved Chicago Cubs and the pesky Milwaukee Brewers. Now, the ballpark here in Milwaukee is pretty neutral, not giving much of an advantage to the batters or pitchers.
The mound for the Cubbies will be graced by Shota Imanaga, with his ERA of 2.11 and some commendable K/9 stats. The Brewers will counter with Freddy Peralta. Peralta has a slightly higher ERA, but boasts a better K/9 stat. This one's looking to be a proper jousting of the pitchers, folks.
The mainstay for the Cubs this season has been Carson Kelly, swinging a mean bat with a .356 average, alongside Ian Happ and Pete Crow-Armstrong. Now while the Brewers have been relying heavily on Brice Turang and Sal Frelick, they haven't been able to match up to the numbers put by Cubs' troika - and let me tell you in sports, numbers do paint a pretty picture.
With past encounters between these teams in sight, it's been quite the roller coaster. While the Brewers pulled off a few sneaky ones in the past, the Cubs have recently painted quite a blue picture in Brewers' lawn.
Rolling up some regular season records, the Chicago Cubs come in holding strong at 21-13 in comparison to the Brewers who are lagging behind at 16-18. And judging by recent results, the Cubs have been roaring with a thunderous array of wins.
Now if you were to ask me, which I know you are, the chosen few for this game would be Chicago Cubs. They’ve shown strength in both their offensive and defensive stats, they have a winning streak going, and the Brewers just haven’t been able to put it together recently.
