Cleveland Guardians by 2Let's break this down, folks. Erm, I mean, pardon the informality there, friends. We have the Cleveland Guardians strolling over to Nationals Park to clash heads with the Washington Nationals. Always an electrifying spectacle when these two teams collide.
You got Luis Ortiz on the mound for the Guardians. A decent pitcher, no doubt, but he's been flirting with a 5.00 ERA and more than his share of WHIP. That's a questionable concoction, but hey, it's baseball, anything can happen. On the other side, Jake Irvin is leading the charge for the Nationals, holding a slightly less terrifying 4.05 ERA.
Now, the Guardians lineup is not too shabby. We've got Steven Kwan with that dazzling .330 batting average. You must not overlook Angel Martinez, another .300+ hitter and a swift pair of legs with 2 stolen bases. Now, Manzardo's batting average isn't the prettiest, but his 6 home runs show why you can't underestimate him.
Looking at the Nationals, Call, Abrams, and Wood are definitely the players to watch. Wood swinging a .284 batting average and 20 RBIs. That boy can hit! Abrams following closely, though his .286 average coupled with his speed on the bases brings a sense of unpredictability to the Nationals offense.
When playing history comes to call, our records show that the last five interactions between these teams have been tight, with the Guardians edging ahead slightly.
