My Prediction
Athletics by 3
Strap in, folks, because we're taking a trip out to Oakland, CA, where the Athletics welcome the Chicago White Sox. If you love pitchers' duels, you're in luck - The Oakland Coliseum is more often than not going to favor the gents on the mound.

The White Sox are sending out Sean Burke, who's been having a tough start of the season, with a ballooned ERA of 6.37 and a WHIP of 1.56. Opposing him, Luis Severino of the Athletics has shown far more command this season with a healthier 3.35 ERA and 1.02 WHIP.

Chicago's got a few solid hitters. Brooks Baldwin and Andrew Vaughn both hit double-digit RBIs, but their overall batting averages remind me of my GPA in college – not something you want to brag about. On the flip side, the Atheltics' lineup boasts the likes of Jacob Wilson and, my favorite player with a dessert in his name, Miguel Andujar. Both are hitting north of .300.

Even if you skipped all the history lessons in school, the recent ones between these two teams show a decisive advantage for the Athletics. Out of their latest five rendezvous, the Athletics have outscored the White Sox 4 to 1.

Looking at the regular season, both teams have had their struggles. The White Sox are having a hard time remembering what it feels like to win, sitting at 6-19. The Athletics are slightly fairing better with an 11-13 record.

The Chicago folks are struggling in the recent games, managing only one win in their last five outings. The Athletics have also had a mixed bag of results.

Bringing it all together, I'd hazard a guess that the Athletics will extend their home turf dominance over the White Sox a tad bit longer. But hey, that's why they actually play the games, right?
