In a riveting matchup, we have the San Francisco Giants travelling to visit the Minnesota Twins at Target Field. Target Field, known for just slightly favoring the pitchers. But hey, who doesn't like a good fastball blurry as it goes by?
The Giants are taking the mound with Jordan Hicks. He's been warmer than a hot fudge sundae with a 6.06 ERA this season. Twin's Chris Paddack also seems to be enjoying the heat with a 5.61 ERA. The pitchers have seen better days, kind of like my career in synchronized swimming, folks.
Giants top players are swinging with Lee Jung Hoo, Mike Yastrzemski and a little side of Matt Chapman. Twins will be relying on Ty France, pivoting on Jonah Bride and Bryon Buxton's shiny 21 RBIs and 8 homeruns. Seems like a pretty even split, give or take a few hotdogs in the stands.
Recent matchup history has Minnesota eating apple pies with two wins against the Giants' three, but history aside, the regular season records tell a different bedtime story. The Giants are lounging on cloud nine with 24 wins and 14 losses while the Twins are sitting a bit south of pleasant with 18 wins and 20 losses.
