Always a delight to see Philadelphia Phillies and Cleveland Guardians go up against each other in the delightful confines of Progressive Field. Sadly, the park doesn't cater to our good-hitting friends, slightly favoring the folks who throw the ball. Makes things interesting. Mix up a cocktail with that information and serve it on the field, boys.
Now, the Phillies are hardly frolicking in the park of late, coming off a loss, but their overall record for the season is respectable. The confidence factor shouldn't be missing. They will be counting on Ranger Suarez who has a bit of a halo from last season despite having fallen off the horse in his sole appearance this season.
Then we have the trusty guard of the Guardians, Tanner Bibee; his figures say he's been handling his business fairly well this season.
In terms of batting power, the Phils have got some big gloves like Trea Turner, Nicholas Castellanos, and Kyle Schwarber. However, Bryce Harper seems to be struggling a bit... he might want to look into that. Cleveland's hitters ain't letting grass grow under their feet with Steven Kwan, Angel Martinez, and Gabriel Arias throwing some good numbers around.
Looking at their history, the Guardians seem to have the Phillies' number in recent matchups. Honestly, it's like the Guardians and Phillies are two old frenemies caught in an unending tug of war. It really adds some spice to this bout, doesn't it?
All said and done, I wouldn't place my dinner on this game if my life depended on it, but predicting winners is what they pay me for. Considering everything under the sun, including that wonky cloud over there, I am going for
