Looking at this spectacular face-off, we've got the Atlanta Braves squaring up against the Arizona Diamondbacks at lovely Chase Field. Not a bad batting locale this one, especially if you're swinging for the fences.
Now, the guys to watch out for from the Braves include the sizzling Marcell Ozuna and Austin Riley, both keen to light up the scoreboard. On the flip side, for the Diamondbacks, we've got batsmen Corbin Carroll and Pavin Smith, who've been showering the stands with a lot of souvenirs in recent games.
As far as the men on the mound are concerned, you'd think Sale, with an ERA of 6.43 for the Braves, would need a bargain deal whilst Gallen, the Diamondback's in-house pitcher, well, he's not been hitting his stride either with 5.80. Seems like runs will be on parade today.
Despite the Braves' track record being, how should I put it, not too vibrant with 10 wins to 14 losses compared to Arizona's more promising 14-10, Atlanta has shown some fighting spirit in the recent games as compared to Arizona's mixed bag results. But let's not forget the past meetings where both teams were quite head-to-head, yet Arizona did manage to squeeze an edge.
So, you might say, this is a tricky one to call. But with all factors considered and the potential for copious amounts of runs due to the starters, my chips are on the team favoured in Arizona’s beautiful desert.
Now here’s the part you’ve been waiting for. Probably. Possibly. I don’t really know. But here it is anyway:
