Alcaraz in straight setsA sunny day at Wimbledon, and here we are, staring down a matchup between Oliver Tarvet and Carlos Alcaraz. Now, Tarvet may seem like a pawn in a board of kings and queens, because frankly, he's unseeded. He's the guy at the party nobody knows, but he's having a great time anyway. Then, enters Alcaraz, the guy who's been making enough noise to drown out a jet plane. Seed number 2, he's as much a part of this tournament as strawberries and cream. Hasn't missed a beat in recent matches, taking down his opponents with an ease that borders on the offensive. His encounter with Fognini F. saw him bouncing back from being down and that’s a testament to his resilience.
Tarvet looking to write a fairy tale, but Alcaraz is known to be quite the dream-crusher. Nevertheless, it's Wimbledon, and the funny thing about grass is, it tends to throw you some curveballs. Remember that, as you ponder over this match.
Now, for the prediction... I'm not going to sugarcoat it. Alcaraz is like a freight train, when he gets going, it's hard to pull up. To be fair, it's tough to see Tarvet being anything more than a speed bump here. Sorry Oliver, don’t take it personally.
