My Prediction
Draper in straight sets.When you juxtapose the recent string of disappointments for Sebastian Baez against the solid performance put up by Jack Draper, the scales begin to tip inexorably towards the latter. Baez, my good man, has accumulated more losses than a broken abacus, while Draper seems to have found not only a winning formula but the recipe book it's written in.
In a sport where love is possibly the worst thing you could have on the scoreboard, I must confess that I've got some for Draper. The track record these two gentlemen share makes it even clearer. Draper clearly knows the ins and outs, the ups and downs, the back-and-forths of playing against Baez - as evidenced by his flawlessly victorious track record.
Did I mention that Draper is the 4th seed? Because he is. I realize it's like waving a red flag in front of a bull to bring up such a grotesquely obvious statistic in favour of Draper - but there it is. Baez, bless his heart, didn't even get an invite to the seeding party.
So, based on all that fun information, we've got ourselves a clear favorite. If you're looking for a wild, improbable turn of events with flames, dragons, and an unseeded player taking down the 4th, perhaps the latest fantasy novel will be more your speed instead of Wimbledon.
