My Prediction
Machac in 4 sets.
Let's dive right down this Wimbledon rabbit hole, shall we? Here we are, stuck between the devilishly tricky Damir Dzumhur and the slightly more favored Tomas Machac. Damir, bless his heart, walked into Wimbledon unseeded. He's had a few good punches, two wins at the end of May but things have been a bit downhill since then. However, let's not forget, he's facing Machac who's had his own share of ups and downs on the court lately.
So we have a real David versus Goliath situation, except it's more akin to a slightly larger David versus a slightly smaller Goliath. A majority might lean towards Machac, seating pretty at seed 21. With 3 out of his last 5 matches landing in his favor, the lad has momentum on his side. Poor Dzumhur, doubtless the underdog here but he's not entirely counted out. Just mostly.
However, tennis is not just about recent form, there are also other factors that weigh in like experience, temperament and...love. Love for the game, love for the challenge and love for those strawberries and cream they serve at Wimbledon.
But let's cut to the chase, it's not rocket science, really.
