Carlos, a human bulldozer in tennis shorts, has been putting on a display worthy of standing ovations, carving through his recent opponents like a hot knife on butter. On the other side of the net, Fognini, who's been going through a bit of a rough patch, seems to be playing more like a stuttering bloopers reel than an actual tennis pro.
Adding up all these delightful tidbits from the recent performances and their head to head record, one might give the edge to Alcaraz. Although Fognini is unseeded, remember folks, in tennis, the ball is round, and anything can happen. But if you ask me, it might take a miracle for Fognini to take this one, like turning a backhand into wine or something.
