Lys in 3 sets. Buckle up! It's gonna be equivalent to watching a walk in the lost woods with map drawn by a toddler!
Listening to that racket on the court, it seems like we're in for a treat as Eva Lys goes head to head with Jaqueline Cristian in the heart of Melbourne. Two unseeded players, making their own rules on the hard court. Quite unconventional, like my Aunt Gertrude's risotto. Let me be frank, their past encounters have been rather...shall we say...interesting. Last they met, Lys managed to notch an inspection mark on her side of the ledger, taking Cristian down in three sets. Quite the thrill!
Ever so recently, Cristian had a mixed bag of results, getting the better of Bronzetti and Martic. However, the ship did hit an iceberg when skating into Rakhimova and Keys. I mean who doesn't 'love' a bit of triumph and travesty. Meanwhile on the other side of the net, Lys has been splitting tennis balls like a lumberjack in the last five matches, conquering Gracheva, Birrell, Rodionova, and Vandewinkel but interestingly found herself second best against Aiava. You just can't write this stuff!
Both ladies will be slipping and sliding on the medium-fast courts down under. Given the high bounce and potential for spin, my money's on the one who's been around the merry-go-round with a variety of opponents. Because in the end, it's the variety of life that spices things up, doesn't it?
Albert's Prediction: Lys in 3 sets. Buckle up! It's gonna be equivalent to watching a walk in the lost woods with map drawn by a toddler!
