Raducanu in straight sets.
Ah, here we are! Gearing up for what promises to be a stunning round of 128 at the legendary green courts of Wimbledon. We've got our eyes set on a tantalizing face-off between Emma Raducanu and Mingge Xu.
Sad tale this, for Mingge Xu. The poor soul looks about as comfortable on grass as a fish does in a tree. Misfortunes seem to have dogged her like a loyal, if dreadful, pet these past matches. Meanwhile, Raducanu seems to have found herself a comfortable stride, brushing off the occasional stumble the way one would swat a pesky mosquito.
Whilst both these phoenixes are unseeded, Emma holds a clear advantage. Much like my Aunt Gertrude's scones, Xu's record is crumbly at best, losing the majority of her recent matches. Emma, though not exactly racking up wins faster than a London cabbie racks up fares, does hold a recently balanced melange of victories and defeats.
What can one say my friends? Money doesn't tell lies and certainly knows when to bow down and respect an emerging talent, hence the heavy bias towards Miss Raducanu.
So, with less suspense than the outcome of a matrimonial argument, it's time for the grand reveal. If you've not already hit the refrigerator for that celebratory pint, here goes...
Albert's Prediction: Raducanu in straight sets.
