Orix Buffaloes by 2Okay listen up sports fans, we've got an intriguing matchup. The Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters are playing guests to the Orix Buffaloes. I hope the Fighters aren't relying on ham for their strength, if you catch my drift.
Our bruisers from Hokkaido have a bit of an advantage in their recent head-to-head battles, winning 3 out of their last 5 games. But history can be as misleading as a toupee in a hurricane, friends - a glance at their last bout with the Buffaloes shows Orix trumping the Fighters by a staggering, uh, 10 runs. Stunning.
On to the season record then. Looks like both teams have been wrestling with consistency, not unlike my ex-wife wrestling with the truth. The Fighters are tiptoeing around a soft .552, while the Buffaloes have a more robust, healthy .593 record.
