Yokohama DeNA BayStars by 2
Alright, folks, grab your peanuts and Cracker Jacks - we've got a barnstormer of a game coming up between the Yomiuri Giants and the Yokohama DeNA BayStars.
Now, the Giants, bless their hearts, they've been doing solid this season, rolling out with a 16 to 11 record. But, pardon me for being frank – and no, Frank isn't a new player on their roster – but the Giants might as well have been playing whack-a-mole considering their recent matchups with the BayStars. Remember that embarrassing 9 to 1 loss to the BayStars on April 17th? That sting is hard to forget.
That being said, the BayStars, despite their less than stellar overall record of 11 to 13, seem to have awakened from their season-long slumber. They've been playing like they've got a spicy tuna roll on the line, especially those last couple of games against Hiroshima Carps and Tokyo Yakult Swallows.
Going by the numbers, this isn't rocket science folks. The Yomiuri Giants have had their good days in the sun, but the Yokohama DeNA BayStars have been showing some fierce tenacity. Plainly put, the BayStars look to be hitting their stride at just the right moment - it's like watching a reality TV show where the unexpected underdog starts to become the favorite. My money's on that underdog who just might fetch us a mighty thrilling game of baseball.
Now don't quote me on this - though I'd be flattered if you did - but I'm putting my dime on the BayStars to take this. And with that, Albert’s Prediction: Yokohama DeNA BayStars by 2.
