Chunichi Dragons by 2Alright, baseball fanatics, grab your scorecards and listen up: we're about to deep dive into the particulars of the upcoming game between Chunichi Dragons and Hiroshima Carp.
Looking at history, it's clear that the Chunichi Dragons have outperformed the Hiroshima Carp with regards to head-to-head encounters. Despite one may call it little hiccup on April 15th when they took their eyes off the ball and let Hiroshima run away with a 7-1 victory, the Dragons have, more often than not, made Carp sushi out of the Carp.
In terms of recent performance records, the Dragons are one game ahead of the Carp. By my math, which is usually prone to suspect guesstimates, that's percentage points away. The Dragons have been fairly consistent slamming the ball, dropping only one game to the Tokyo Yakult Swallows.
In the opposite corner, the Carp have been having a rough patch recently, suffering a string of losses that would send any team off the rails. There's been no cheering in Carp land where the waters have been tumultuous at best.
Given recent trends and historical performance, recommending Hiroshima might be as prudent as putting your savings on a three-legged horse in a high hurdler race.
