New York Yankees by 3Looking at this Major League Baseball match between the New York Yankees and the Kansas City Royals, we've got quite an intriguing situation. The venue is Kauffman Stadium, which to put it in simple terms, let's just say it smiles a bit more favorably at the batters.
Problem though? The Royals' pitcher, Kris Bubic, has a pretty sterling record this season. With an ERA of 1.57 and an impressive WHIP of 1.01, he's been a bit of a nightmare for opponents, especially when you align him against the Yankees' chosen one - Clarke Schmidt. Despite his respectable ERA of 4.16, those numbers just don't do the foxtrot with the Royals' pitcher.
Perhaps it's a saving grace for Yankees fans that they've got some heavy hitters in their line-up. Especially when you consider Aaron Judge. I mean, the guy's out there batting like he's playing a completely different game. Bellinger and Wells are decent too, but Judge...he's effectively lobbing the balls into the neighbor's yard regularly.
On the other side of the field stand the Royals' top players - Pasquantino, Isbel, and Garcia - posting reasonable numbers, but let's not kid ourselves, we've seen more threatening boy bands.
The thing is, the Yankees have had a knack for having their way with the Royals in recent meetings, and we all know history tends to have a funny way of repeating itself. Pair this with their stronger season record and recent outcomes, the Yankees are the guys with the shine right now.
Taking all that into account, I'd say the Royals are looking like a poker player who's just been dealt a 2 and a 7. With the odds stacked as they are, I can only see one outcome.
