Paolini in straight setsLet's consider the field, fellas. We're got Jasmine Paolini, who has been as consistent as a Swiss watch, going head-to-head with Katie Boulter, more unseeded than an overripe watermelon. Boulter's match against Siniaková landed on a shaky 2-1. Now, Paolini, on the other hand, mowed down everyone from Gauff to Lys, straight like an Arizona road trip.
Though Boulter may have left some impressive aftereffects on the court, like defeating Begu in a tight 2-1 game in March, don't let such flashes of brilliance dazzle you into forgetting their last meet-up. Paolini showed Boulter as much love as a rattlesnake in a sleeping bag and swatted her away like a pesky fly. That's got to make you think twice.
So, am I saying to bet your house on Paolini? Well, I can't legally advise that, folks - contrary to popular belief, I'm not entirely reckless. But let’s just say that if I had to put my coveted collection of novelty sports bobbleheads on the line, they’d all be nodding towards Paolini’s corner.
