Swiatek in 3 sets.Looking at this exciting matchup, we're seeing some surprising elements here that could make this one for the memory books. In one corner (in a mortal kombat sense, because we're in a tennis court folks, not an actual square), we have Snow White herself - Iga Swiatek. Iga is coming in as the second seed, maintaining strong performances recently, holding her own against some of the stronger contenders in the tennis world. That being said, she's had a bit of a hiccup recently with Ostapenko, but we're all allowed a bad day at the office, aren't we?
Now, on the other side of the net, we have the unseeded wonder-kid, Alexandra Eala. Now, it's clear she doesn't have the higher seeding here, but what does that matter when she's shown us quite clearly that she can hold her own on the court, seed or no seed. Even in their previous head-to-heads, she has uncrowned Iga twice, making for an intriguing setup to this matchup.
Given Swiatek's recent fluctuating form and Eala's history of dominance over Iga, we might witness another potential upset. However, taking into account the payout data and that Iga's still the second seed, I'm going to go against my gut instinct here, and place my bets on Iga turning the tide this time around.
