Ah, the TCU Horned Frogs crossing paths with the Colorado Buffaloes – now that's something you didn't know you needed till now. Neither team made it to the AP rankings; they're simply looking at you with those big zeros next to their names. The regular season hasn't been any fairer with the Frogs leading the dance with 16 wins against 14 losses, whereas the Buffaloes seem to have, well, had a bit of a tumble down the hill, recording 11 wins and a whopping 19 losses.
Now let’s get very, very familiar with these playmakers from each camp. From the TCU side, you've got Vasean Allette and Noah Reynolds, who have been the sword and the shield for the side. Allette with his 12.9 points a game and Reynolds with his 12.2, both adding some serious scoring ammo. But watch out for Ernest Udeh, who’s been a force to reckon with, grabbing those rebounds like a man on a mission.
Switch sides to embrace the Colorado charm, and you'll find Bangot Dak and Julian Hammond taking center stage. Dak's been quite the point machine, averaging 11.2 points a game. Hammond isn't too far behind either, with a slight elevation from the last season's stats, I may add, where he's now averaging 9.4 points a game. These Buffaloes are not to be taken lightly, folks, not one bit.
And you might remember that unforgettable showdown on the 2nd of February, 2025, when TCU took the cake with a solid 68 points to Colorado's 57. The Buffaloes would sure be itching for payback.
But, looking at the most recent performances, both teams leave something to be desired. TCU's record is more of a mixed bag with two wins and three losses, while Colorado's been on the disappointing side of things dropping four out of their last five matchups.
So, who's going to win this battle of the beasts? I'll stake my money, and possibly my reputation, on the TCU Horned Frogs. They have the edge in player performance and the hunger for keeping that winning feeling alive. But, I expect a close game; Frogs won't hop too far ahead.
