Sorry to break it to you folks (just kidding, there's no "sorry" in sports), but this isn't exactly a thriller matchup. Texas A&M's been not only riding high but doing it while doing tricks on a unicycle with a 21-9 record versus the lukewarm, would-rather-be-at-home-charting LSU Tigers at 14-16.
Let's take a quick peek at the stars of the show. Texas A&M's very own Wade Taylor has been the beacon, guiding his team with an average of 15.2 points this season, marginally higher than his equally impressive last month average of 15.3. Steele complements Taylor with Zhuric Phelps and Pharrel Payne who have been chipping in consistently with their point contributions. But dry your eyes from this bright trio to look over at LSU's roster.
Of LSU's team, we have Cam Carter rocking steady with 15.7 points last month and upping the ante considerably this season with a solid 16.8 average. But when it comes to a star-studded ensemble, it doesn't seem to match up to the Aggies.
Take a stroll down memory lane folks, and it's clear that Texas A&M has been enjoying the venue, taking 4 out of the last 5 matches against LSU. Quite a happy hunting ground indeed for the Aggies.
Despite the Tigger's quite Hopper-esque recent win against South Carolina Gamecocks, their form has been something best forgotten, whereas the Aggies have been in a gnarly brawl with their recent loss against Auburn Tigers.
Ladies and gentlemen, my money would be on the Aggies, not because I like their mascots, but because they seem statistically and historically more likely to edge out the win. But remember, underdogs can bite, and the Tigers aren't declawed yet.
