Arkansas Razorbacks by 2Look, Mississippi State Bulldogs, the 25th in the AP Polls, are heading into Razorback territory for a good old game of roundball. By now, I'm sure you know we're going to talk about a few of their top performers. Josh Hubbard, a real fireball, has been shooting the lights out with an average of 20.3 points per game in the last month. His running mate, Keshawn Murphy, is there to clear the boards with a robust 8.3 rebounds per game. The data doesn't lie, these guys are good.
As for Arkansas Razorbacks, they might be lacking in the AP ranking department but they've got a few top dogs. Zvonimir Ivišić has been a consistent contributor with 14.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game last month. And hey, let's not ignore Adou Thiero, pulling double duty with 13.2 points and 5.0 rebounds per game in the last month. They may not be number one but their bark is as good as their bite.
Looking at the history between these two teams, it's been the Bulldogs that have taken their bite out of the Razorbacks, but this time it’s on Arkansas' home turf. Last season records show a tighter run for the Mississippi team with 20-10 compared to Arkansas's 18-12.
Looking at recent results for the Bulldogs, they've been hanging in there, but it’s a rocky road. You wouldn’t know it looking at the Razorbacks' recent win over the Vanderbilt Commodores though. They’ve certainly raised a few eyebrows.
