Alright, alright, alright. Let's talk hoops - the NCAA variety, featuring the Oklahoma Sooners and our friendly neighborhood, the Missouri Tigers. Ranked at #15 in the AP Poll, the Tigers clearly have a leg up, at least on paper. The Sooners, on the other hand, find themselves swimming in uncharted #0 ranking territories. One would think it’s a tough ride for the Sooners, but don't write them off just yet.
Delving into the stats, the Tigers have some pretty slick players. Take Caleb Grill for instance, the young man has been pouring in 17.0 points a match and collecting about 4 rebounds in the last month. Clearly, he's been making some noise. Mark Mitchell ain't no slouch either, what with his 15.9 points and 4.3 rebounds. And let's not forget about Tamar Bates, punching in with 12.9 points per game.
Now let's look over at the Sooners. Their top shooter, Jeremiah Fears, has been dropping 15.8 points and grabbing 4.8 rebounds a game in the past month. And Jalon Moore, he's adding 13.0 points and nearly 5 rebounds each outing. Duke Miles is another name to keep an eye on.
The last meeting between the two was a feast for the Tigers, beating the Sooners 82-58. Doesn't look too good for the Sooners, does it? Well, past performances aren't always an indication of future results, or so I like to delude myself.
If we roll with the recent games, the Missouri Tigers have a 21-8 record. The Oklahoma Sooners, in comparison, are hanging back at 17-12. Oh, and if you've missed the recent games, here's a nugget - the Tigers have been part of some thrilling encounters, including a high-scoring battle against the Vanderbilt Commodores.
Talking about high-scoring, the Sooners met with the Ole Miss Rebels, which ended 84-87 in the Rebel's favor. But hey, it’s part of the game, right?
So, with all this in consideration, here's my prediction, folks. Brace yourselves!
