Clemson Tigers by 16Ah, here we have a classic ACC showdown between the Clemson Tigers and the Boston College Eagles. Now, the Tigers, ranked 11th, come in with something to prove. Their dynamic trident of Ian Schieffelin, Viktor Lakhin, and Chase Hunter have been tearing up the hard-court consistently. Schieffelin's averaging a solid double-double over the last month, with 15.6 PPG and 9.6 RPG. Meanwhile, Lakhin and Hunter are surging as well, putting up respectable numbers of 15.1 and 13.6 PPG, respectively.
Let's swing east now to Boston, where the Eagles could use a little bit of luck. They've got Donald Hand, who's been hot lately with 18.4 PPG, but remember luck is that elusive lady who likes the guy who puts in the effort. And alongside Hand, we see Chad Venning and Dion Brown trying to keep up with 11.7 and 7.5 PPG.
Look back at the history, there's a bit of a tug n' pull. But as we know, history’s as reliable as the loser’s account of an arm wrestling match. More recently, Clemson has been clinching wins left and right with a whopping 24-5 record, while the Eagles might be getting dizzy looking up from their 12-17 position.
In layman’s terms, if this were a staircase race, Clemson is dashing up a Empire State Building, and Boston College, well, they're still, unfortunately, trying to figure out the escalator.
