Well isn't this a treat? In one corner we have the California Golden Bears, fresh off a victory against the Boston College Eagles but sporting a less than golden 13-16 regular season record. Jeremiah Wilkinson seems to be their shining star, a point a minute kind of guy last month, while Andrej Stojakovic has been helping to hold down the fort putting up more than 17 points a game this season. But if we've learned anything, it's that a couple of stars can't outshine an entire galaxy.
In the other corner, we have the Louisville Cardinals, high off their consistent wins. The flock's regular season record of 23-6 just screams superiority and their number 14 AP Ranking is certainly not to be ignored. Let's just mention Terrence Edwards and Chucky Hepburn here. These guys have been playing as if they are trying to cook something on the court, and it's not a picnic.
Taking account the consistency of Louisville's top players and their impressive recent victories, this could very easily play out like an excerpt from "The Art of War". Not saying California doesn't have their moments, but this ain't poetry, it's basketball.
