Detroit Tigers by 3Alright, let me just have a sip of my lukewarm coffee and we'll get into it. We've got the Cincinnati Reds squaring off against the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park and let me tell you, that park isn't exactly the happiest hunting ground for batters. Might as well trade those pin-striped pajamas for some pitcher's gear if you want to get any joy here, folks.
On the mound, the Reds are boasting Brady Singer with his 4.49 ERA and 7.4 K/9. If we take a stroll to the other dugout, we've got Jack Flaherty, Detroit's homeboy with a 3.56 ERA and an astounding 11.2 K/9. The chap's been having a blast striking out guys at a frightening rate - if you ask a batter, at least.
For our top blokes here, we have TJ Friedl and Elly De La Cruz holding fort for the Reds with their impressive numbers. On the other side, the Tigers have Riley Greene and Colt Keith swinging their sticks. Artistry at its finest, folks.
Now, if we're talking past matchups, the Tigers have pretty much clawed their way through their encounters with the Reds. A quick glance at the recent record piles up more brownie points for the Tigers, sturdier than a castle with their 45-25, compared to the Reds’ 35-34. All this bears the faint smell of foreshadowing - or is that just my coffee cooling down?
If we're tidying this up, looking in the rearview mirror should tell you that the Tigers, they did indeed recently feed the Reds to the lions. All things considered, mayhap we have a bit of a pattern here. Now, I'm no mystic, but an octopus once predicted World Cup results, so why shouldn't I?
