On the mound for the Red Sox we have Lucas Giolito, who's had a shaky season with a 5.11 ERA and some concerning WHIP numbers. He's up against Atlanta's Grant Homes, who's been statistically more dependable, keeping his ERA at a petite 3.80 across 11 appearances.
Let's not forget about the guys with the bats, though. Boston's hotshot hitters have put up some impressive numbers this season. Rafael Devers has been a machine, smashing 8 homers and 33 RBIs while batting .362. Likewise, Carlos Narvaez has been steady with a .361 batting average. But it’s hard not to feel for Wilyer Abreu who’s batting a measly .240.

You're probably less than thrilled if you're Matt Olson, as hitting .252 this late in the season is bittersweet, like your grandma's lemon bars.
Turning back the clock, the two teams have a history of lively combat. Boston has managed to squeeze out a couple victories, but it's been a tough fight against the Braves, as evident in their last five bouts.
Catching up on the latest, both teams are running rather tepid with less than stellar season records. Let's just say that this year has been as unpredictable as finding a winning lottery ticket in your old jeans. The Red Sox sit at 27-31, while the Braves come just behind at 25-29.
Recently, the Red Sox have been tasting the bitter tang of defeat. Atlanta, while not exactly on a hot streak, managed to bag a few solid wins, particularly their 9-3 washout against Philadelphia.
All things considered, this one looks like a win for the Braves. They have a favorable pitcher, Truist Park has been known to play nice with batters (just ask Baldwin), and let's not forget those salty peanuts.
